E-Safety - What is it?

E-Safety stands for electronic safety, it is not just about keeping safe on the internet but also using all electronic devices, such as mobiles and television.

Today's huge emphasis is on Online Safety, this means that children and adults need to think carefully before they open an internet page, always be aware of the dark dangers that lurk in some areas of the internet.

Very well presented, the Childnet International site gets the thumbs up from children starting Key Stage One right up to leaving Key Stage Two.

The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP) delivers a multi-agency service dedicated to tackling the exploitation of children.

That means building intelligence around the risks, tracking and bringing offenders to account, either directly or with local and international police forces. They work with children and parents to deliver a unique ThinkUKnow internet safety programme.

Their approach is truly holistic, their style is totally inclusive and their appeal is to everyone out there to work in making every child matter, everywhere.
